The students have Physical Education classes on a regular basis and are given training in conducting such classes. Aerobics and Yoga, Major and Minor Games and Lectures on Health Education form the components of the Physical Education Classes.

The student teachers undergo a 7 days camp as part of the B.Ed. programme, where they gain a first hand knowledge and experience in community living. Various programmes are undertaken during this period so as to imbibe in them the value of community service and help them to evolve into responsible citizens. The activities of the camp are as follows:

Guest lectures and seminars are arranged periodically to enable the students to gain enriching experience and adequate exposure in the latest developments and techniques of education. Experienced educationists and academicians of high standing bestow on our student teachers, the fruits of their rich experience and expertise and the skill and knowledge, required to render their teaching more effective. A workshop on “Classroom Management” was also arranged for school teachers in and around Coimbatore, in the month of October, 2006. Similarly a seminar for school teachers on ‘Learning Difficulties and Remedial Strategies’ was conducted in February, 2006.
