The Practical Work includes Teaching competency in the Optional Subjects, Preparation & use of instructional aids, Construction of tests and interpretation of scores, Preparation of instructional materials, Preparation and Participation in Seminars,  Workshops, Symposia and Assignments, Psychology Lab Work, Action research / Projects / Case Studies, Preparation of Audio-visual Aids, Socially Useful & Productive Work (SUPW) Camp/Community Service, Physical Education and Health Education, CAI/PLM Package Development (Computer Aided Instruction / Programmed Learning)

As stipulated by the norms, the student teachers of the Institution are sent to various schools for thirty days for the purpose of Intensive Teaching Practice and Observation, where they are guided by the teachers of the respective schools. During the tenure of this training, they observe the classes of experienced teachers and also teach their two Optional Subjects to the students of various classes. At the end of the session the student teachers would prepare question papers and conduct tests for the assessment of the students. The committed involvement of our student teachers in all the activities of the respective schools, has won the appreciation and approval of the school authorities.

Micro-teaching involves the teaching of certain skills that form a part of the wide range of components that enhance effective teaching. Our student teachers have undergone a rigorous training in Micro-teaching for ten days, so that they could practice the various skills with confidence and interest.

As part of the curriculum, the students are given regular training in Socially Useful and Productive Work which includes handicrafts and preparation of commercial products such as detergent, soap, ink and cleaning liquid.
