G.R. Damodaran College of Education, Coimbatore , was established by The GRD Trust in the academic year  2005-2006, in tune with the vision of Prof. G.R.Damodaran,  whose cherished dream was to start a college of Education . Over a period of four years, totally dedicated to the cause of education Dr. G.R. Damodaran College of Education has made unparalleled contribution to the society by churning out a new category of teachers who 

The college is functioning in its new campus at Muthugoundan Pudur (on the road connecting NH47 and Sulur) from the Academic year 2006-’07. The campus stretches over 5 acres of land in a serene and semi-rural location and has well designed buildings with spacious classrooms, library, laboratories, conference and seminar halls and sufficient space for other activities like physical education, recreation, meetings and other practical activities. The college buses are operated from Gandhipuram and Sulur and hostel facility has also been created for the benefit of students coming from the other parts of the state.
