SOULS MEET 2008-PRIZE WINNERS
The following are the prize
winners of various events the SOULS Meet 2008 organized by the Society of
United Life Sciences,
The
Staff and the PG students of Bioinformatics Department of Dr GRDCS have won
prizes in seven different events organized throughout the day and incidentally
the College happened to bag prizes in most of the events among the other
Colleges.
The

Wishing
the staff and the students of Bioinformatics, Secretary of the College Mrs Geetha Padmanaban praised the efforts taken by the
Department in providing quality education to the students and getting them
on par with the industry demands.
Principal
Dr A Ponnusamy conveyed his heartiest wishes to the staff and the
students and praised them for bringing such laurels to the Department. He also
said that students when properly motivated will achieve greater heights, not
only in the academics, but also in the society. He wished the members of staff
and students to bring in more credits to them and to the Department.
Head
of the Department Prof B Thiagarajan attributed the success of the students to their hard
work and appreciated their killer instinct. He said the PG students of
Bioinformatics have brought the greatest gifts for their Teachers just a day
after the Teachers Day. He added that the duty of every teacher is to bring
out the hidden talents of a student and that has always been the motto of the
Department.
The
Correspondent Dr D Padmanaban and Adviser Prof A N Lakshmanan too hailed the achievements of staff and
students in the events.
