GLOBEX – The Management Association of GRDAM

The Management Association of GRDAM enables the students to understand the dynamics of new age business environment that are contemporary and vibrant, apply the latest concepts and tools in real practice and gain a distinct edge in demonstrating goal directed leadership and managerial roles across the management horizon. The forum plays a vital role in developing the skills and potential required for the global business executives as per the industrial expectations in an international platform. The Office Bearers for the Association will be selected every year and they function as overall organizers for the events that are conducted during every academic year. The Management Students will hold in various positions in GLOBEX such as President – GLOBEX, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President & Joint Secretary.

The GLOBEX association serves as a challenging platform for the young minds to bring out their latent thinking in the areas of team building, organizing, leadership, decision-making and conceptual skills. It serves as an umbrella in pooling the individual talents by organizing events throughout the year that calls for a display of skills possessed. The capable students emerge successfully proving their ability.

Industrial Experts are invited to address the student executives on various occasions to articulate the issues and operational complexities involved in businesses. The experiences gained during these times lend them a helping hand while taking up their tasks during their placement events. The events organized bring out the entrepreneurial component in the learner's mind enabling them to plan their own startups once they complete their course work. Non academic events like celebrations of important festivals and observing the birth anniversaries and memorial days of eminent leaders are also organized to help the students to sensitize them with culture, ethics and values.

ED Cell

Entrepreneurship Development Cell is the brain child of the institution that nurtures the installation and incubation of enterprising ideas in the minds of the younger minds. Since inception the ED Cell has paved way for the Business Minded Executives to bloom and propagate their incubated ideas through the event conducted under its banner. The emphasis on the business idea is made to understand through organizing an Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp to help the students learn a skill that is showcased during the event organized by the Cell.

During the second week of February every year Entrepreneurship Week (E Week) is observed where the students are availed with plenty of opportunities to listen to successful Entrepreneurs during various sessions. Eminent and Successful Businessmen are invited to share their life experiences and the difficulties stumbled upon during their entrepreneurial journey. The ED Cell also receives grants from DST, New Delhi, (Department of Science and Technology) to conduct seminars and conferences at the National and International Level to enrich the participants with the required knowledge base to take up their own business journey.

The ED Cell also arranges competitions among the students to display their business efficiency through Business Plan and Quiz. Business Incubation a week long exercise during the E Week with a seed capital distributed from the institution fund brings in a tremendous response from the students indulging in various business activities enabling them to learn the basics of taking up with a business.

The following six committees are for facilitating the Students to focus adequately on self-development, help build managerial capabilities, involve in institution building initiatives. Every committee plans and carries out tasks in coordination with other committees and the institution provides the guidance and the necessary support related to all the tasks assigned.

Centre for Training, Placement and Industrial Tie up (CPTI)

CTPI systematically plans and organizes various training programs and workshops for the budding managers on various skill-sets needed for the executives, with the internal and external trainers. Throughout the year it is functioning and ensuring the enhancement of employability and the enrichment of the caliber of the students in a phased manner.

The programs organized by the CTPI include

  • Interaction session on placement opportunities
  • Workshop on placement-preparedness
  • Workshop on interview skills
  • Mock-interviews
  • Workshop on resume writing
  • Workshop on communication and presentation skills.

CTPI also organizes campus interviews and collects and supplies information to the students regarding various off-campus opportunities. It keeps a good placement record every year.

Centre for Counseling and Guidance (CCG)

The center for counseling and guidance, functioning under a senior faculty member caters to the counseling needs of the students whenever it arises. It guides the students concerned in a more appropriate way, in solving the academic and social issues.

Centre for Research and Consultancy (CRC)

Research is one of the important sources for acquiring and serving fresh knowledge for the student community. It aims at organizing workshops on Business Research and securing Research and Consultancy projects from industrial establishments ranging from MSMEs to MNCs.

Centre for Alumni Relations (CAR)

The members of the Alumni are the real ambassadors of every educational institution. The Centre for Alumni Relations takes care of services that are needed for the members of the alumni relating to the institution. It also organizes Alumni Meet every year to provide them an opportunity to mingle with their own classmates and to maintain an everlasting relationship with them.

Centre for Public & Media Relations (CPMR)

CPMR takes care of public relations and also frequent interactions with the Media. CPMR takes the responsibility of publishing of the news relating to the various events in the leading dailies for reaching the various sectors of the society, thus enriching their knowledge.

Centre for Extension Activities (CEA)

The Centre for extension activities has been established to extend the services of the Academy for the benefit of the members of the various sectors of the society like industrial employees, members of the self-help groups, Government employees, etc., in terms of behavioral, motivational and other soft-skill training. CSR activities such as awareness programs for the school children, rural mass, Free tree sapling distribution, education to the tribal people etc., were part of extension activity.
